Hyderabad: Three youths lost their lives in a tragic accident on the newly constructed Dr. Manmohan Singh Flyover in Hyderabad on the night of January 27, 2025. The incident occurred when the bike they were riding skidded and collided with a divider.

The victims have been identified as Maaz from Golkonda Fathe Darwaja, Ahmed, and Imran from Talabkatta, were reportedly riding at high speed when they lost control.

The bike crashed into an electric pole before hitting the divider. Two of the minors died instantly, while a third was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to injuries on the way.

The minors, were traveling towards Aramgarh when the accident took place near Shivarampally. The police suspect overspeeding and triple riding to be the primary causes of the crash. The Rajender Nagar Police have registered a case and are investigating further.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Osmania Hospital for postmortem. The incident has left their families devastated. The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Separate Fatalities in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy

In another incident, a mother and her daughter died after a speeding lorry collided with their bike at Bandlaguda, Hyderabad, on Thursday night, January 16, 2025. The deceased have been identified as Rukshana Begum and her three-year-old daughter, Sifa, who both died at the scene. Rukshana’s husband, Azeem Wasim, and their son, Muzamil, were injured and rushed to Osmania Hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred when the lorry, reportedly driving at high speed, hit the bike as it was traveling from Langar House towards Falaknuma. Witnesses gathered at the scene, expressing their grief over the tragic accident. The driver of the lorry is said to have been driving rashly, which led to the collision.

In another tragic incident, a 24-year-old man, Mahesh Kumar, lost his life in a road accident on his birthday late Tuesday night, January 14, at Malakpet. Mahesh, a vegetable vendor from Saidabad, had celebrated his birthday with his family before leaving home to meet friends at Nalgonda Crossroads. Reports say Mahesh lost control of his scooter near the Officerโ€™s Mess function hall, possibly due to high speed. The vehicle skidded and crashed into an electric pole. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Mahesh was declared dead on arrival. Police suspect speed was a factor in the crash.

In a separate incident, a student was killed and another seriously injured after their motorcycle collided with a divider on the Kokapet Service Road in Ranga Reddy on December 28, 2024. The deceased, Satwik, was traveling with a companion when the motorcycle crashed into the divider. Initial reports suggest overspeeding may have caused the accident. Satwik died from the impact, while his companion remains in critical condition.

This follows a similar accident on December 27, 2024, when two men, Raghu Babu and Akansh, were killed after their motorcycle skidded off the road and crashed into a divider in the Madhapur police station limits. Excessive speed and possibly alcohol consumption are believed to have contributed to the crash. One victim died at the scene, while the other succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
