Hyderabad: At least three workers were injured when a slab of an under-construction administration building at the University of Hyderabad collapsed on the night of February 27, 2025, in Hyderabad.

According to the reports, about 10 people were present at the site when the incident occurred. The Gachibowli police, alerted by university authorities, arrived at the scene and carried out a rescue operation. The injured workers were promptly shifted to a nearby private hospital, where their condition was reported to be stable.

The collapse happened when metal frames being erected for the construction of a pillar and ceiling suddenly gave way, injuring the workers. The exact cause of the collapse remains unclear.
