Hyderabad: Three friends fall ill after consuming biryani ordered via app

Hyderabad: As Food safety officials continue to uncover multiple hygiene violations at various restaurants in Hyderabad, a case of food poisoning has been reported from Ranga Reddy district on Sunday.

Three friends fell ill due to the food poisoning and landed up in a hospital. They experienced vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea, all at the same time, after consuming biryani and grilled chicken which was ordered from Aroma Restaurant through an online app on November 20, according to officials.

They later filed a complaint with the Food safety authorities, blaming the poor quality food delivered by the restaurant for their condition.

In a separate incident, a customer reported that a tiffin centre located near Nexus Mall in KPHB, Hyderabad, served cockroach-infested breakfast. The customer shared the images and videos of the breakfast and wrote that they went to Madhuram Tiffins to eat breakfast and they found cockroaches in the chutney served to them. Taking note of the complaint, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) said that the concerned food safety authorities would resolve their issue soon.
