Tgsrtc Conductor Felicitated For Returning Valuables Worth ₹13l

Hyderabad: A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) bus conductor Venkateshwarlu was felicitated for returning a bag with cash, gold and silver worth Rs. 13 lakh to the rightful owner.

As usual, conductor Venkateshwarlu was discharging his duty of ticketing on the Achampet-Hyderabad route on April 26, 2025. As the bus reached MGBS, he noticed a bag which was left unattended by the passenger.

When the passengers alighted at their destination, the conductor opened the bag and found gold and silver ornaments, cash, and various documents in it.

Venkateshwarlu wasted no time and alerted the Achampet Depot Manager Murali Durga Prasad and he suggested that he deposit the bag with the station manager at the MGBS.

Around the same time, a passenger named Anil Kumar reached out to the Depot Manager and informed him that he lost his bag on the bus. He said he took the bus from Kandukur and alighted at CBS and from there went to Kacheguda.

After verifying his details and identity, the RTC officials handed over the lost and found bag to Kumar in the presence of RTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar at Bus Bhavan. Impressed with the honesty of the conductor, the officials presented a certificate of appreciation to Venkateshwarlu.

“We congratulate Venkateshwarlu, the conductor from Achampet depot for proving his honesty and handing over a bag lost in the bus to a passenger,” said Sajjanar.
