Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation building rises in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A new green building for the Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TGREDCO) is under construction in the state capital.
The facility is coming up at Mint Compound in Khairatabad. It is being developed as a green building designed to operate entirely on renewable energy.
Officials are executing the construction with features that keep rooms cool without air-conditioners. The structure is being designed to maximise cross-ventilation and ensure sufficient natural light in all workspaces.
The building will rely on architectural planning rather than mechanical cooling systems to regulate indoor temperatures. Wide corridors, planned window placement and airflow channels are part of the design to maintain comfort levels.
By reducing dependence on conventional electricity for cooling and lighting, the project is expected to lower operational energy consumption. The initiative aligns with the state government’s push to promote renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure in public buildings.
TGREDCO is the nodal agency for implementing renewable energy programmes in Telangana. The new office is expected to serve as a demonstration model for energy-efficient government infrastructure in Hyderabad.
