TGFDC to host Nature Camp, Bird Walk at Forest Trek Park
HYDERABAD: The Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC) will organise a Nature Camp and a Bird Walk at the Forest Trek Park, Manchirevula as part of its eco-tourism initiative.
The Nature Camp will be held from 16.00 IST on Saturday, December 27, 2025, to 10.00 IST on Sunday, December 28, 2025. The overnight programme includes team-building activities, tent pitching, a nocturnal forest walk, night camping, a campfire, morning birdwatching, trekking and a guided nature trail.
Participants will be provided with evening snacks, dinner and breakfast during the camp, officials said.
Guided birding programme for all age groups
In addition, TGFDC will conduct a Bird Walk on Sunday, December 28, from 6.00 IST to 9.30 IST at the Forest Trek Park. The programme is open to children and adults.
Participants will learn to identify bird species and understand their habitats, nesting patterns, food habits, flight techniques and social behaviour. Experienced naturalists will guide the walk and provide explanations.
Speaking on the occasion, Ranjith Naik, Executive Director (Eco-Tourism), TGFDC, said the programmes aim to promote environmental awareness and nature education through immersive outdoor experiences.

The participation fee for the Nature Camp is ₹1,199 per person for children aged six to 12 years and ₹1,999 per person for those aged 13 years and above. The Bird Walk is priced at ₹450 per person.
