Hyderabad: The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has arrested seven individuals in Rajasthan in connection with a special interstate operation targeting cybercrime. The accused acted as agents, facilitating the opening and operation of numerous mule accounts used in various fraudulent activities.

During the operation, police seized nine cellphones, one laptop, a Thar four-wheeler, and cash totaling Rs 97,000.

The arrested individuals include Sourabh Singh Roy (22), a Delivery boy in Pali district; Devendra Kumar Saran (25), a Kirana shop owner in Pali district; Rahul Vaishnav (19), a Student in Pali district; Nitin Sisodiya (25), a Travel business owner in Jaipur; Naveen Kumar (22), a Travel business owner in Jaipur; Kuldeep Meena (21), a Student in Jaipur; and Sahil Khan (24), a Garment business owner in Jaipur.

This operation follows the first-ever interstate operation conducted by the TGCSB in September, which led to the arrest of 27 cyber criminals in Rajasthan. Those arrests were linked to 189 cases in Telangana, where Rs 9 crore was lost, and 2,223 cases across India.

The latest arrests came after continued investigation and technical analysis, identifying the absconding agents involved in the opening of mule accounts. These criminals were implicated in several types of fraud, including business investment scams, trading frauds, and digital arrest cases.

The TGCSB teams were dispatched to Jaipur and Jodhpur, where the suspects were arrested. They were later brought to Telangana on transit warrants and presented in court.

Director TGCSB Shikha Goel, IPS, commended the efforts of the police teams led by Devendra Singh (SP), Operation In-charge Deputy SP KV Surya Prakash, and the technical team for their dedication and successful execution of the operation.

The TGCSB urges the public not to share their bank account details with anyone, as criminals can exploit this information for fraudulent activities. The police also warned that anyone aiding or abetting cybercrime will face strict legal action.
