TG DEECET 2026 Delivers High Success Rate with Over 84% Candidates Qualifying

Tg Deecet 2026 Recorded An 84.36% Pass Rate

HYDERABAD: Results of the Telangana Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test (TG DEECET) 2026 were declared on Saturday for admissions into Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) and Diploma in Pre-School Education (D.P.S.E) courses for the 2026–28 academic session.

The entrance examination recorded an overall qualification rate of 84.36%, with English-medium candidates registering the highest pass percentage among the three mediums.

The examination was conducted on May 21 for admissions into two-year teacher education programmes offered by Government District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and private unaided elementary teacher education institutions, including minority and non-minority colleges.

According to the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), 32,592 candidates applied for the examination and 25,054 appeared. Of them, 21,137 qualified. The figures translate into an overall pass percentage of 84.36%.

English medium records highest success rate

Among the mediums, English recorded the highest pass percentage at 88.69%. A total of 12,784 candidates qualified out of 14,414 who appeared.

Telugu medium registered a pass percentage of 82.37%, with 7,918 candidates qualifying from 9,612 candidates who appeared. Urdu medium recorded a pass percentage of 42.31%, with 435 candidates qualifying out of 1,028 examinees.

Women constituted the majority of both applicants and successful candidates. Of the total applicants, 26,510 were women and 6,081 were men.

Among those who qualified, 16,984 were women, recording a pass percentage of 90.84%, while 4,153 men qualified with a pass percentage of 82.92%.

Medium-wise toppers announced

B. Anandu secured the top rank in the Telugu-medium category with a score of 76.

Javvaji Shiva Nageshwar topped the English-medium category with a score of 83, while Danish Ahmed secured the first rank in the Urdu-medium category with a score of 66.

The qualifying mark for Open Category (OC) and Backward Classes (BC) candidates is 35% of the aggregate marks. No minimum qualifying mark has been prescribed for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.

Certificate verification will be conducted from June 2 to June 5 at Government DIETs in the erstwhile district headquarters. Candidates can exercise web options from June 6 to June 8.
