HYDERABAD: Tellapur Neighbourhood Association (TeNA) requests Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner to complete and repair the long-pending RR-30 Extension Road connecting Gopannapally Thanda to Kollur.

A TeNA delegation led by President Ramana Eshwaragari, General Secretary Sudhakar Alladi, and EC Member Deepthi Reddy submitted a detailed memorandum to Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner Narayan Amit, IAS.

In their memorandum, TeNA said the RR-30 Extension Road, sanctioned in 2015 under G.O. Rt. No. 441, was planned as a key corridor between the Financial District and the Outer Ring Road (ORR). Nearly a decade later, the 7.7 km stretch remains incomplete, severely inconveniencing residents of Tellapur, Osman Nagar, Kollur, and nearby areas.

Furthermore, the association pointed out that the road has deteriorated, with potholes, damaged stretches, and poor drainage. These issues cause frequent accidents, vehicle damage, traffic disruptions, and safety concerns. Water stagnation during the monsoon makes sections of the road nearly unusable.

Additionally, TeNA noted that drains along the RR-30 Extension Road are clogged with mud and garbage, causing waterlogging and blockages during rains. The absence of a proper median on the RR7 stretch and inadequate street lighting also pose major safety and security risks.

To address these problems, the association asked authorities to expedite the completion of the RR-30 Extension Road, make immediate repairs, clear and restore roadside drains, construct a proper median on the RR7 stretch, and install adequate street lighting to improve safety and prevent crime.

In response, Zonal Commissioner Narayan Amit, IAS, told the delegation that the RR-30 Extension Road is a top priority. He said tenders have already been called and assured that pending works and repairs should be completed within two months.

TeNA welcomed the Zonal Commissioner’s response and expressed hope for a speedy resolution to this long-pending infrastructure issue.
