TeNA Hyundai Mobis donates computers

Tellapur: The Tellapur Neighbourhood Association (TeNA) has successfully facilitated the donation of twenty computers to the Telangana Government Model School in Vellimela village, under the Tellapur Municipal limits on Vellimela, October 1, 2024 (Tuesday). This initiative aims to impart vital technical skills to students in resource-deprived government schools.

Recognising the urgent need for computer literacy among schoolchildren, TeNA approached corporate entities for support. In response, the multinational company Hyundai Mobis stepped forward to contribute to this noble cause through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

On October 1, officials from Hyundai Mobis, including Lee Jong Keun (Head of R&D), Cho Sungmin (General Manager), and Hemadri Loganathan (Senior General Manager), attended the donation ceremony. They expressed their delight in participating in this initiative, highlighting their company’s commitment to societal welfare. “Computer literacy will empower these schoolchildren and significantly contribute to the country’s development,” they stated.

Speaking on the occasion, TeNA President and Tellapur resident Ramana Eshwaragari announced that Hyundai Mobis has committed to supporting three additional government schools in the near future, ensuring that more children can acquire computer knowledge from an early age.

The head of TG Model School, Padmavathi, expressed her gratitude to the officials from Hyundai Mobis for their generous donation. She commended the efforts of the TeNA in supporting education, particularly for government school children. Representatives from Hyundai Mobis, TeNA executive members, and the teaching staff of the Vellimela school were present at the event.
