TeNA Carnival 2026 unites 70 communities, boosts social initiatives in Tellapur

TELLAPUR: The Tellapur Neighbourhood Association (TeNA) hosted its fourth annual TeNA Carnival 2026 on March 28, bringing together residents from over 70 gated communities in a large-scale community event focused on civic engagement and social impact.
Raghunandan Rao attended the event as chief guest and said he would remain accessible to citizens “24×7”, particularly for development works and emergencies. He praised TeNA’s efforts in raising social issues and contributing to sectors such as environment, education and healthcare. He also assured continued support and participation in future initiatives.
Resident-led platform expands civic participation and outreach
TeNA president Ramana Eshwaragari said the association has evolved into a strong, resident-driven platform promoting civic responsibility. He said more than 2,000 residents have been engaged through sports, social initiatives and community programmes.
He outlined key initiatives undertaken by the association. These include partnerships with hospitals benefiting over 25,000 residents, job melas aimed at employment generation, lake-cleaning drives, and efforts to address road potholes to improve infrastructure and safety.
Corporate donation to support education for government school children
In a major announcement, Srinivas, CEO of Grossmacht Engineers, contributed ₹30 lakh to the TeNA Education Fund. The fund aims to support children studying in government schools.
The carnival saw participation from over 2,000 players across 11 sports disciplines, with participants aged between seven and 75. Organisers said the turnout reflected inclusivity and strong community engagement.
The event also featured cultural performances by residents. A dance performance by students of ZPHS Tellapur focused on the risks of drug abuse and delivered a social awareness message.
Event organisation driven by community volunteers and leadership
Executive Committee members and representatives from multiple communities took part in organising the event. TeNA EC members, including Pratap, Ravi Ramana, Ram Kumar, Ravi Kiran, Sudhakar, Deepthi, Kavitha and Ravindra, played key roles in coordination.
TeNA said it will continue to work towards building a connected and responsible community through citizen-led initiatives and collaborative development.
