Telugu families thank Indian government and Telangana authorities for repatriating 60 Indians from Bahrain.

HYDERABAD: Families of 60 Indian citizens repatriated from Bahrain have expressed gratitude to the Union and Telangana governments for facilitating their return through coordinated efforts.

In a statement, the families thanked Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, Union Minister for Civil Aviation, and Rajnath Singh, Union Minister for Defence, for their roles in coordinating the mission.

They also acknowledged the Telangana chief minister for extending support that helped bring the stranded citizens home on a special flight from Dammam in Saudi Arabia to Kochi.

The families said the Indian government secured transit visas from Saudi Arabia, enabling the movement of the group from Bahrain to India.

Community support during difficult period

They also thanked the Bahrain Telugu Association and Gulf Air for acting as intermediaries between the affected families and government authorities.

According to the statement, members of the Telugu community in Bahrain, along with local churches, provided breakfast, lunch and dinner to the stranded group from February 28 to March 10.

The families said the support ensured that all 60 individuals were cared for during the period before their return to India.

Media coverage helped reach authorities

The group also thanked print and electronic media for highlighting their situation and helping bring it to the attention of government authorities.
