Telugu Cine Workers Cooperative Housing Society violates government orders construct 225 houses, faces demolition threat
Manikonda: A storm is brewing in Chitrapuri Colony as the Hyderabad Municipal Development Authority (HMDA) threatens to demolish 225 illegal ROW houses built by the Telugu Cine Workers Cooperative Housing Society Ltd. HMDA demanded an explanation for the illegal construction of ROW houses or faces Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA) action.
Metropolitan Commissioner, Hyderabad Municipal Development Authority (HMDA) issued notice to the President, Telugu Cine Workers Co-operative Housing Society Ltd, Chitrapuri Colony, to submit an explanation regarding 225 ROW houses constructed illegally.
Further the commissioner ordered not to proceed with any constructions of ROW houses falling which action shall be taken as per Rules in vogue. It was also directed to this office not to allow any further construction of ROW houses.
Following the orders from HMDA, Manikonda Municipality inspected the site and noticed that the executive committee of Telugu Cine Workers Cooperative Housing Society Ltd, had constructed the ROW Houses by violating the orders of the Government.
“It is also observed that, they have illegally/unauthorizedly deviated to the above construction by adding extra built-up area and also some illegal constructions were taken up over the permitted floors,” said Manikonda Municipality.
Subsequently Manikonda municipality directed to submit the revised approval copy of existing built-up area of the 225 ROW Houses and also to remove the additional construction made if any on the said ROW Houses with in 15 days falling which necessary action will be taken up to remove/demolished the unauthorized constructions, as per the Telangana Municipalities Act- 2019.
Further, Manikonda municipality warned that in spite of issuing this notice if the society failed to comply with the directions, the matter may be forwarded to the HYDRA for taking necessary action in the matter.
