Telangana's Praja Palana for Ration, Health Cards

Hyderabad: The Congress government in Telangana has announced that a special Praja Palana would be conducted from September 17, where the beneficiaries can apply for the ration cards and health cards in the state. The Chief Minister’s office informed that Praja Palana would take place for ten days in the month of September in their respective wards in every district.

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has also asked the concerned authorities to collect the details of the families who are in need of these cards. And asked to make arrangements for the conduct of Prajapalana at the ward level in the entire Telangana.

These decisions were taken in a review meeting conducted in the Secretariat in the presence of Health Minister, Damodar Rajanarasimha and Principal Secretary Shanti Kumari and in the presence of other higher officials.

Further, in this meeting, it was also announced that there would not be any link to the Ration Card and Health Card and both these cards would be issued separately.

And for the issuance of digital health cards, the Chief Minister asked to make suitable arrangements for concerned health check ups for the individuals and conduct of medical camps across the state. A plan of action would be prepared in this regard, as mentioned by the Chief Ministers Office. It was also said that this health card is going to be useful for the availment of the Rajiv Arogyasri services along with the Chief Minister’s Relief fund, for those who are in need.
