Thar crashes into pedestrians in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, two dead
YADADRI BHUVANAGIRI: A speeding Thar vehicle caused a fatal accident on the BB Nagar tank bund in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, leaving two people dead on the spot on Sunday.
According to police, the vehicle lost control and rammed into pedestrians walking along the bund. One young man died instantly after sustaining severe injuries, while a young woman was thrown into the nearby tank and drowned.
Locals alert police; investigation underway
Panic gripped the area following the accident. Locals immediately informed the police, who rushed to the scene and retrieved the bodies. The remains were shifted to a local hospital for postmortem.
Police said a case has been registered and an investigation is on. Preliminary inquiry suggests that overspeeding led to the accident.
