Winter chill lingers in Telangana, mild days to continue into February

HYDERABAD:Â Winter continues to hold on across Telangana, with cold nights and mild daytime temperatures expected to persist well into February, delaying the usual transition to spring heat.
Data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) shows that minimum temperatures will remain below normal till around February 7 or 8. Maximum temperatures during the day are likely to range between 29°C and 31°C, while night temperatures are expected to hover between 14°C and 16°C.
Sangareddy recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state on February 1 at 12.8°C. Hyderabad logged a minimum of 15.8°C, cooler than the average for this period.
No rainfall is forecast across Telangana over the next 10 days, keeping weather conditions dry but comfortable. Officials said the sustained chill at night and moderate daytime temperatures have made this one of the most pleasant winters in nearly seven years, with February beginning on a cooler note instead of the sharp heat spikes seen in recent seasons.
