HYDERABAD: Thunderstorm activity began forming on Sunday afternoon over interior Karnataka, particularly around the Bidar and Kalaburagi belt, according to weather updates.

These storm cells are expected to move eastwards during the evening, potentially affecting parts of Telangana including Sangareddy, Vikarabad and Kamareddy districts.

Hyderabad is likely to remain dry for the next four to five hours. Weather conditions in the city are expected to stay stable through the afternoon.

However, scattered intense thunderstorms may develop over northern districts including Nirmal, Nizamabad, Adilabad and Komaram Bheem Asifabad within the next three hours. Parts of Sangareddy district, particularly Narayankhed, could also see thunderstorm activity.

Meteorologists said most other parts of Telangana, including Hyderabad, are likely to experience dry conditions in the short term before any weather changes later in the evening.
