Hyderabad Braces For Intense Summer Ahead, Warns Telangana Weatherman

HYDERABAD: Heat conditions have begun to intensify across Telangana, with the India Meteorological Department warning that temperatures could touch 30 degrees Celsius after this week.

While maximum temperatures have not yet reached peak summer levels, the weather department said heat intensity is likely to increase in the coming days. Residents who were grappling with cold conditions until recently are now experiencing a steady rise in day temperatures, with double-digit minimums already being recorded.

Morning fog to persist

The weather department said morning fog is expected to continue for a few more days, particularly during early hours. Visibility remains low until about 8 am, affecting normal life in several parts of the state.

Flight operations affected at Hyderabad airport

Fog conditions have disrupted flight arrivals and departures at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, officials said. Reduced visibility has also led to road accidents in some areas.

Authorities have advised commuters to avoid long-distance travel before 8 am and use headlights if travel is unavoidable. Temperatures are expected to rise further as the season progresses, the weather department added.
