HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has denied claims that the state government issued an order granting completely free bus travel to women with disabilities.

Viral claim on Telangana government order found false

A claim circulating on social media stated that the Congress government had recently decided to provide full free bus travel for all persons with disabilities and had issued new orders to this effect.

TSRTC warns of action against misleading social media posts

TSRTC clarified that the claim is false and no such decision or government order has been issued. It said the information being shared online is completely misleading.

The corporation warned that those spreading false information on social media and misleading the public would face strict criminal action.
