462 students from Telangana tribal welfare schools qualify in JEE Main 2026

HYDERABAD: As many as 462 students from the Telangana Tribal Welfare Educational Institutions Society (TGTW-REIS) and the Telangana Eklavya Model Residential Schools Society (TGEMRS) qualified in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session Paper 1, the results of which were declared on February 16.
Among them, students from Rajendranagar and other centres of excellence secured high percentiles.
Chowhan Praveen secured 93.45 percentile, followed by Ajmeera Mahesh with 91.95 and Ramavath Laxman Naik with 90.01. Banothu Karthik scored 90.18 percentile. Pathlavath Swathi and Mudu Geethanjali secured 89.29 percentile each.
According to institution sources, five students scored above the 90th percentile, while 27 students secured between the 70th and 80th percentile.
K. Seethalakshmi, secretary of the two societies, said the results marked an improvement over last year. “This year, our students have achieved better results than last year, proving that their talent is on par with corporate coaching centres,” she said.
She attributed the performance to strict implementation of micro-schedules, continuous monitoring with targets, weekly mock examinations, and a special action plan to help more students excel in JEE Main Session 2.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Tribal Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar congratulated the students on their achievement.
