Telangana Tourism Launches One Day Pilgrimage And Heritage Tour

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Tourism Development Corporation Limited (TGTDC) has launched a one-day pilgrimage and heritage tour covering Yadagirigutta, Shilparamam, Kolanpaka Jain Temple, Swarnagiri Temple and Bhoodan Pochampally.

The tour will start from Hyderabad with three boarding points. Tourists can board the bus at Yatri Nivas, Secunderabad, at 7 am, Paryatak Bhavan, Begumpet, at 7.15 am, or the Central Reservation Office (CRO), Basheerbagh, at 7.30 am.

The journey begins with darshan at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Yadagirigutta. After that, tourists will have breakfast at Haritha Hotel. The group will then visit Shilparamam, the rural arts and crafts village, before heading to the historic Kolanpaka Jain Temple, one of the oldest and most important Jain shrines in South India.

Handloom village visit after temple circuit

Later, tourists will enjoy a South Indian vegetarian lunch at a hotel in Bhuvanagiri. The tour will then continue to the Swarnagiri Temple. Finally, visitors will travel to Bhoodan Pochampally, which is globally known for its Ikat handloom weaving tradition. The package concludes with hi-tea at Haritha Hotel before the bus returns to Hyderabad at around 7.30 pm.

The package includes travel in an air-conditioned mini bus, breakfast, a South Indian vegetarian lunch, hi-tea and darshan at all the temples.

The tour costs ₹2,070 for adults and ₹1,770 for children.
