Thunderstorms likely across Telangana districts; Hyderabad may see evening showers
HYDERABAD: Thunderstorms are likely to affect several parts of Telangana during the evening and night hours on June 2, 2026, according to a weather update.
Widespread thunderstorms are expected in Sangareddy, Medak, Siddipet, Narayanpet, Mahabubnagar, Gadwal, Nagarkurnool and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts during the evening and night.
Weather conditions are also expected to remain favourable for scattered thunderstorms in Warangal, Hanmakonda, Mahabubabad, Khammam, Nalgonda, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nirmal and Nizamabad districts.
In Hyderabad, scattered thunderstorms are forecast mainly in the northern and western parts of the city during the evening and night hours.
Residents in the affected districts have been advised to remain alert for lightning, gusty winds and brief periods of heavy rainfall associated with thunderstorm activity. The weather system is expected to develop during the latter part of the day and continue into the night.
