Telangana Police Suspend Visa Services To Pakistani Nationals Following Pahalgam Terrorist Attack

Hyderabad: The Director General of Police, Telangana, announced the immediate suspension of visa services to Pakistani nationals. Effective from April 27, 2025, all existing valid visas issued by India to Pakistani nationals will be revoked.

Medical visas issued to Pakistani nationals will remain valid only until April 29, 2025. However, this decision does not apply to holders of Long Term Visas (LTVs) or diplomatic and official visas.

The DGP also stated that the Attari Border will remain open for Pakistani nationals wishing to depart from India until April 30, 2025. Pakistani nationals residing in Telangana are advised to follow the guidelines to avoid legal action.

This decision follows the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, 2025, which resulted in 26 deaths and 17 injuries. Among the injured is Jaya Mishra, a resident of Hyderabad, who sustained minor injuries and is in stable condition.

In response to the attack, the Government of Telangana has set up a helpline at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi to assist citizens and provide timely information. Citizens can reach out to Vandhana at 9871999044 or Hyder Ali Naqvi at 9971387500 for assistance.
