Telangana Completes 99% SIR Form Distribution, Collection Drive Gains Pace
HYDERABAD: Telangana has completed 99% of the distribution of enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharshan Reddy said on Saturday.
The Election Commission has now shifted its focus to collecting the completed forms from voters. Officials will accept submissions until July 24.
“So far, we have received 28% of the forms. We will collect the remaining forms over the next 15 days. This phase of the enumeration exercise will end on July 24,” Sudharshan Reddy said.
Officials step up form collection
Sudharshan Reddy urged voters to fill out the enumeration forms and submit them before the deadline. He said almost every household has now received the forms.
The Election Commission will publish the draft electoral roll on July 30 after completing the enumeration exercise.
Draft roll to be followed by notice period
After publishing the draft electoral roll, the Election Commission will begin the notice period and complete the remaining steps under the electoral roll revision process, Sudharshan Reddy said.
