Telangana RTC workers issue strike notice
HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation workers’ unions have issued a strike notice to the management, signalling a possible agitation in the coming days.
The Joint Action Committee of RTC workers’ unions submitted the notice at the Labour Commissioner’s office. Copies of the notice were also submitted at the office of the RTC Managing Director.
Unions seek resolution of long-pending demands
Union leaders said they will decide on the strike after 14 days from the date of the notice. The period has been given to the management to address the workers’ issues.
They said several long-pending demands remain unresolved. The unions warned that they would launch a strike if the management fails to address these issues within the notice period.
Union leaders said the notice was submitted at the Managing Director’s office because the official was not available at the time.
