Bhatti Vikramarka says 154 global delegates to attend summit

HYDERABAD: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said on Saturday that 154 delegates from 44 countries across six continents will participate in the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, scheduled for December 8 and 9 at Bharat Future City. He said 46 delegates are from the United States.
Government aims for economic-focused summit
Bhatti said the government is organising the event as an exclusive economic summit designed to support Telangana’s plan to build a $3-trillion economy by 2047.
He said the vision document for the initiative was drafted with guidance from Niti Aayog and Indian School of Business–Hyderabad, and was prepared collectively by the Cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
He added that the summit will be inaugurated at 1.30pm on December 8 by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma. Several world-renowned economists are expected to address the sessions.
Speakers and sessions across two days
On Day 1, speakers include Abhijit Banerjee, Eric Swider (Trump Media & Technology Group), Minister D Sridhar Babu, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi, industrialist Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Union minister G Kishan Reddy, and Bhatti himself.
The Chief Minister will deliver the keynote address at 2.30pm.
After the inaugural, department-specific sessions will run from 3pm to 4pm, featuring respective ministers, principal secretaries and subject experts.
Alternative travel plans if connectivity issues persist
Bhatti said he hoped the ongoing airline connectivity issues would ease before the summit. If dignitaries encounter travel difficulties, the government will arrange special flights and helicopters, he said.
Sessions will continue on December 9 from 9am, concluding with the closing ceremony at 6pm. The list of dignitaries for the closing event will be announced shortly.
