Telangana releases ₹500 crore paddy bonus to farmers

HYDERABAD: The Civil Supplies Department of the Government of Telangana on Tuesday released ₹500 crore directly into farmers’ bank accounts as part of the paddy bonus scheme.
₹1,425.91 crore disbursed this Kharif
The latest tranche takes the total disbursal under the ₹500 paddy bonus scheme during the ongoing Kharif season to ₹1,425.91 crore, officials said.
Bonus in addition to MSP
The bonus is paid over and above the minimum support price, ensuring farmers receive ₹2,889 per quintal for paddy, including MSP and bonus.
The release follows the assurance given by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to extend financial support to paddy farmers during the season.
