Cool conditions prevail as IMD predicts statewide showers

HYDERABAD: Cool weather conditions prevailed across Telangana as rainfall continued under the influence of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal.
The intensity of heat has reduced across the state. Parts of Hyderabad received light showers on Sunday, bringing relief after temperatures began rising from February.
The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said light to moderate rainfall is likely over the next three days. It attributed the change in weather to the low-pressure system and advised farmers to take precautionary steps to protect their crops.
Thunderstorms likely in north Telangana districts
Officials said the rainfall is linked to the low-pressure area and an upper-air trough. Only light showers are expected, and there is no forecast of heavy rain.
Rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in Hyderabad, Adilabad, Medak and Karimnagar districts over the next two days.
Weather officials said minimum temperatures may dip slightly during this period.
