Telangana Govt Sets Up Relief Operations In Delhi For Stranded Citizens Amid Border Tensions

Hyderabad: In response to the ongoing India-Pakistan border tensions, the Telangana Government has launched coordinated efforts to assist citizens from the state who are stranded or returning from affected areas. Under the direction of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Telangana Bhawan in New Delhi has been designated as the central coordination point for relief operations.

A 24×7 control room is now operational at Telangana Bhawan, receiving and responding to distress calls. So far, around 30 calls have been received. Free food and lodging are being provided to Telangana residents arriving from the bordering states. Additional accommodation is also being arranged as needed.

A medical camp has been set up at Telangana Bhawan to offer immediate health check-ups and basic care. Transport assistance is also being provided to airports and railway stations to help individuals continue their journey home safely.

The Telangana Government is in close contact with district administrations in the affected border areas and is working with local authorities to relocate citizens to safer locations when needed. Telangana Bhawan is also coordinating with the Government of India for updates and instructions related to safety measures and ground conditions.

As of now, eight individuals from Jammu & Kashmir have arrived safely at Telangana Bhawan and are being looked after. Arrangements are underway for their return to their respective hometowns in Telangana.

The Resident Commissioner conducted a late-night review of the relief measures to ensure readiness and support for all those arriving. The government has stated it is closely monitoring the situation and will continue to provide necessary assistance.
