Telangana Olympic Association election results to be declared on December 11
Hyderabad: The counting of votes and declaration of results for the Telangana Olympic Association (TOA) elections will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at LVR Olympic Bhavan, L.B. Stadium, Hyderabad, as announced by K. Jagadishwer Yadav, General Secretary of the Telangana Olympic Association.
The elections for the 2024-2028 term were held on November 21, 2024, at LVR Olympic Bhavan, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
Jitender Reddy, former MP and sports advisor to the state government, and V Chamundeswaranath, Vice President of the Telangana Badminton Association, contested for the president’s post. Babu Rao and Malla Reddy competed for the General Secretary position, while Satish Goud and Pradeep Kumar ran for Treasurer.
Out of 65 eligible voters, 59 participated in the election. However, counting votes has been delayed due to a stay issued by the Hyderabad City Civil Court following a petition from the Boxing Association, which claimed it was excluded from the voting process.
Although the Indian Olympic Association did not send an observer, the Sports Authority of Telangana (SAT) assigned DD Chandra Reddy as the official observer for the elections.
