Telangana Nurses Salary Delay

Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha announced on Wednesday that there was a delay in processing salaries for 300 out of the 6,956 recruited staff nurses. This was due to a technical glitch that prevented the generation of their Permanent Retirement Account Number (PRAN), which is required for depositing their salaries in their bank accounts.

The minister took to ‘X’ and posted that, “After forming the new Government, the Hon’ble Chief Minister immediately ensured recruitment of 6956 Staff Nurses, to fill vacant posts in Health and 6 other Departments.”

These Staff Nurses are working in various hospitals, SC/ST/BC and Minority Residential Schools and Disabled Homes, rendering essential service to citizens, he mentioned.

He further added that the Government is always committed to the welfare of employees and also ensuring proper healthcare across the State.
