Man dies in Koti after choking on chicken bone, netizens cast doubt on cheap liquor
Hyderabad: In a second incident this year in Telangana, a man died in Hyderabad’s Shadnagar, after accidentally choking on a chicken bone. The incident has also left many citizens in shock.
According to the reports, the victim is identified as Srikanth, aged 39. The victim hails from Annaram village and came to Koti in the city to meet his brother. After consuming alcohol in a wine shop, the victim consumed Chicken Biryani and fell unconscious. Unfortunately, the chicken bone stuck in his throat, which led to loss of breath and resulted in the death of the victim, add the reports.
Netizens question the role of cheap liquor
One of the netizens reacted to the incident on his X (formerly Twitter) and said that Chicken bones are very very dangerous and they are like splinters and said that it would have been very very painful. Meanwhile it is also raising suspicion on the consumption of ‘cheap’ liquor as well. A netizen said that the reason for the death would be known only after post mortem. He further added that the death due to cheap liquor is being painted as death due to chicken and blamed Revanth Reddy’s governance for the same.

However, this kind of incident, where people die after chicken bone strucking in their throat, is not new. Earlier in January this year, a man hailing from Farooqnagar mandal in Mahabubnagar district in Telangana lost his life to asphyxiation, after consuming a meal with chicken. In this incident, the victim was identified as Jitendra. He was rushed to hospital, after he lost consciousness and however he was soon declared dead, as they reached hospital. The doctors also confirmed that his death was due to lack of breath, because of the bone struck in his throat.
Meanwhile, if anyone swallows a chicken bone, it is pertinent to immediately seek medical intervention, as it could be fatal sometimes.
