Telangana municipal election nominations close
HYDERABAD: The nomination process for municipal elections in Telangana concluded on Thursday, with filings completed for 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations across the state.
Election officials will scrutinise the nominations on January 31. The deadline for withdrawal of nominations has been fixed for February 3.
Polling will be held on February 11. If repolling is required at any location, it will take place on February 12. Counting of votes is scheduled for February 13.
The election of municipal chairpersons and vice-chairpersons, as well as corporation mayors and deputy mayors, will be conducted on February 16.
More than 50 lakh voters across Telangana are expected to exercise their franchise in these elections, which will be held on party symbols.
