Hyderabad: The Telangana government has extended the deadline for payment of Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) fees and charges with a 25% rebate by three more days, until May 3, 2025. The decision was issued by the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Department after reviewing the matter.

According to the official order, “In continuation to the reference, after careful examination of the matter, Government hereby extend the date for payment of LRS fee and charges with a rebate of 25% as issued in the reference 4th cited for 3 more days i.e., up-to May 03, 2025.”

The LRS 2020 scheme is aimed at regularising unapproved and illegal layouts. The deadline for availing the rebate was initially set for March 31, and later extended to April 30. The latest extension gives applicants additional time to complete payments.

To facilitate the process, the government has introduced a ‘universal search’ feature on the LRS 2020 portal. Applicants can now check their application details by entering the district, mandal, village, and applicant’s name.

How to Pay the LRS Fee:

1. Search “LRS 2020” online and visit https://lrs.telangana.gov.in

2. Click on the “Citizen Login” tab on the homepage

3. Enter the mobile number used during application and generate an OTP

4. Validate the OTP received on your phone

5. Click on ‘LRS Plots Fee Payment’

6. Verify your plot details and click ‘Proceed’

7. Review the payable amount

8. Accept all self-declaration conditions and click ‘Payment’

9. Generate a QR code, enter your mobile number, and click ‘Continue & Pay’

10. Use Google Pay or PhonePe to scan the QR code and complete the payment

11. Download and save the receipt for future reference

The extension is expected to help more applicants complete the payment process and regularize their properties under the scheme.
