Hyderabad: The National parties are taking the lead in the Telangana Parliamentary elections 2024. Of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies, Indian National Congress(INC) which is in power is leading in Eight parliament seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) is leading in another Eight parliament seats. BRS which was in power till recently before being overthrown by the congress is not even leading in one seat.

The BJP is leading in eight Parliament constituencies including G Kishan Reddy from Secunderabad, Etala Rajender from Malkajgiri, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy from Chevella, Godam Nagesh from Adilabad, D K Aruna from Mahabubnagar, M Raghunandan Rao from Medak, Arvind Dharmapuri from Nizamabad and Bandi Sanjay from Karimnagar.

And the Congress party took the lead in other eight Parliament constituencies including, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy from Bhongir, Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy from Khammam, Porika Balram Naik from Mahabubabad, Mallu Ravi from Nagarkurnool, Kunduru Raghuveer from Nalgonda, Vamsi Kirshna Gaddam from Peddapalle, Kadiyam Kavya from Warangal and Suresh Kumar Shetkar from Zahirabad parliamentary constituencies respectively.

Meanwhile, AIMIM party candidate Asaduddin Owaisi is leading from Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat against the BJP candidate K Madhavi Latha.

Telangana state went for the Parliamentary elections for its 17 Lok Sabha constituencies on May 13, 2024. As the final results are set to be known by the end of the day on Tuesday, the counting process across the counting centers began at 8am on Tuesday morning. This time, the ruling Indian National Congress(INC) party, opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are in the foray.

Telangana witnessed a voter turnout of 64.93 percent in the parliamentary election, 2024.
According to the Election commission of India(ECI) data, the highest 76.78% of votes polled in Bhongir Parliamentary Constituency and lowest is 48.48% in Hyderabad Parliamentary Constituency.
