HYDERABAD: Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Tuesday launched a daily shuttle service for IT employees at the JRC Convention Centre, aiming to improve last-mile connectivity and ease daily commuting in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the launch, the minister said the Telangana government was taking steps to develop Hyderabad into a global city by strengthening its public transport network. “The government is taking all necessary measures to make Hyderabad a global city. I request all IT employees to make use of RTC services and electric vehicles. We are introducing new initiatives, including the EV Policy, to strengthen the transport system in Telangana,” Prabhakar said.

More bus services planned on underserved routes

The minister said the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) would introduce new bus services on routes that currently lack adequate public transport facilities to improve connectivity across the state.

TPCC Campaign Committee Chairman Madhu Yashki Goud, Additional Transport Commissioner Ramesh and representatives of Daily Shuttles attended the programme.
