Telangana IPS Officers’ Association condemns KTR’s allegations against Sircilla Collector
Hyderabad: The Telangana IPS Officers’ Association on November 28, 2024, has strongly condemned the derogatory and baseless allegations made by BRS Working President and Sircilla MLA, K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR), against the serving Collector of Sircilla District. The association denounced these remarks, which questioned the integrity and impartiality of the civil servant.
In a statement issued today, the association described the allegations as a direct affront to the principles of governance and the constitutional mandate under which civil servants operate. “Officers are duty-bound to uphold the rule of law and serve the public without fear or favour. Unwarranted attacks of this nature are both irresponsible and detrimental to democratic institutions,” the statement read.
The members of the Telangana IPS Officers’ Association expressed their support for the officer in question and reaffirmed their collective commitment to preserving the dignity, independence, and impartiality of the civil services.
The association also pointed out that such attempts to politicize the role of civil servants undermine their ability to function effectively and erode public trust in governance. The statement called for an immediate cessation of such unfounded accusations and urged all stakeholders to engage in discourse that respects institutional integrity and the rule of law.
