HYDERABAD: The Telangana Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, seeking a report on a complaint filed by Rama Rao.

The notice, issued in H.R. Case No. 57/2026, directs the Commissioner of Police to submit a detailed report to the Commission by February 26, 2026, following consideration of the complaint received by the Commission.

According to the order, the matter will be listed for further consideration before the Commission on February 26, 2026, and will be taken up at 11.00 IST on that day. The police have been asked to furnish the requisite information in three sets before the scheduled hearing.

Default may invite Commission action

The notice cautions that failure to submit the report within the stipulated time may prompt the Commission to proceed with appropriate action as deemed fit.

The notice was issued by the Assistant Registrar (Judicial) of the Commission and communicated by post. A copy of the notice was also marked for information to the complainant, Rama Rao, a resident of Maredpally, Hyderabad.

The Commission clarified that the information or report must be furnished only by the authority to whom the notice has been issued and not by any other individual or agency.
