Telangana High court uphold death sentence for paedophile

Hyderabad: A paedophile who sexually assaulted a five year old girl and due to which the girl succumbed was convicted by the local court on POCSO act. The court found the accused guilty and awarded a capital punishment and when the accused knocked on the door of Telangana High court, it upheld the decision of a lower court on Wednesday.
The accused identified as Dinesh Kumar Dharne raped and murder, which occurred in 2017 at beside Sri Shiridi Sai Prem Samaj Hospital, Narsingi heights, Narsingi Village which comes under the limits of PS Narsingi.
According to the Narsingi police, a missing girl case was reported on 12, December, 2017. Subsequently, search parties were deployed to trace the missing girl. Meanwhile police took the suspect Dinesh into custody on suspicion and shifted to the Narsingi police station on the same late night.
When questioned, Dinesh has confessed that on the pretext of providing chocolates, he took a 5 years old girl to the nearby bushes and forced himself on her which resulted in the death of the girl on the spot. Subsequently the accused took the police to the crime spot where police recovered the body and shifted to Osmania general hospital for post mortem examination.
Meanwhile the accused was sent to the remand and was investigated by the then SHO Narsingi G. V Ramana Goud collected all scientific evidence thoroughly and charge sheeted in 90 days.
During the court trial, Narsingi police filed a charge sheet and superior officers monitored the case closely. The MSJ Court Rangareddy conducted trail and awarded capital punishment to the accused Dinesh Kumar Dharne. Subsequently the accused challenged the court judgement and filed a criminal petition at High Court of Telangana Hyderabad. On Wednesday the High court of Telangana dismissed the accused petition, and confirmed the death sentence.
