Heavy rainfall expected across Telangana in next five days

Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rainfall across Telangana in the next five days.
Warangal, Hanumakonda, Karimnagar, and Mahbubabad are forecast to receive the heaviest rainfall today, July 16th, and are placed under the highest alert level, orange.
Several other districts, including Hyderabad, are under a yellow alert, indicating heavy rainfall likely at isolated places. These districts include Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Jagtiyal, Peddapalli, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Rajanna Siricilla, Medak, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Jangaon, Mahabubnagar, Nagar Kurnool, Jagtiala, Khammam.
The remaining districts of Telangana will experience light to moderate rain at isolated places. These districts are Asifabad, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Narayanpet, Wanaparthy, Nalgonda, Badradri Kothagudem, and Suryapet.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has advised Telangana residents to monitor the weather and be prepared to move to safer locations if conditions worsen.
There will be light to moderate rain, accompanied by light thunderstorms and maximum surface wind speeds of less than 40 km/h in gusts, starting at 7:00 a.m. and lasting until 10:00 p.m. on July 16. This weather is expected in isolated areas across Adilabad, Kamareddy, Kumaram Bheem, Nirmal, Nizamabad, and Vikarabad. Minor damage to unsecured or loose structures is possible.
Hyderabad Impact:
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a warning for Hyderabad residents on July 16th. Localized waterlogging and traffic congestion are anticipated, potentially increasing travel times by 20-30 minutes. There is also a serious risk of electrocution due to unsecured power lines.
