Heavy rain forecast prompts CM Revanth Reddy to alert officials on paddy, cotton and maize procurement

HYDERABAD: Following a heavy rain forecast across Telangana, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to remain vigilant during the ongoing procurement of paddy, cotton and maize.

Officials have been instructed to ensure that procurement operations continue smoothly without inconvenience or loss to farmers. The Chief Minister emphasised that timely measures must be taken to protect agricultural produce and avoid disruption due to rains.

On his instructions, Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao will hold a video conference with district collectors and senior officials at 17.00 IST today to review preparedness and coordination across procurement centres.
