Telangana heat rises, Nalgonda hits 41.8°C

HYDERABAD: Heat conditions across the state intensified sharply, with high temperatures and humidity setting in from 10 am on Thursday. By afternoon, outdoor conditions turned difficult, with temperatures rising above normal levels.
Maximum temperatures crossed 40°C in several districts, with 10 districts recording above 41°C. The India Meteorological Department said temperatures may rise further by 2–3°C over the next three days Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
A mid-level cyclonic circulation extending from Telangana through Rayalaseema to Tamil Nadu is contributing to the rising temperatures, officials said.
Nalgonda district recorded the highest temperature of 41.8°C at Gudipalli mandal. Jagtial district’s Dharmapuri and Nizamabad district recorded 41.6°C, while Khammam Urban and Nirmal district reported 41.5°C.
The department has issued an orange alert for 10 districts, warning that temperatures may continue to rise until April 14.
