Heatwave eases across Telangana as temperatures dip below seasonal average
HYDERABAD: After a prolonged spell of severe heatwave conditions, Telangana witnessed a drop in temperatures over the past two days, bringing relief to residents across the state.
Between April 27 and May 5, maximum temperatures consistently crossed 45°C in north Telangana districts, while Hyderabad recorded temperatures above 42°C during the period.
Since May 6, temperatures have declined across several regions. North and east Telangana districts recorded around 42°C, while Hyderabad’s maximum temperature fell to nearly 39°C.
Weather conditions are expected to remain favourable over the next three to four days, with temperatures likely to stay below normal levels. Scattered thunderstorms are also forecast across parts of the state, providing further respite from the heatwave conditions.
The fall in temperatures has come as a relief for residents after nearly 10 days of intense summer heat across Telangana.
