Candidates face troubles at Group 1 centers in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: From not having adequate cloak room facilities for candidates, to put on their personal items, to some colleges restricting muslim women with burqas, students appearing for the Group 1 exam are facing issues at their respective exam centers on Sunday.
The Telangana State Public Service Commission is conducting Group 1 exam on Sunday, June 9 and elaborate arrangements are made accordingly by the Telangana State government. However, some centers have become a trouble for students.
In one of the exam centers at Stanley College in Abids, candidates appearing for the Group 1 exam, lamented that there is no designated space for them to keep their personal stuff such as mobile phones, bags and others. In the video that is now circulating, it is also seen students asking police if they would take the responsibility of their stuff, for which police responded saying that the college management is responsible for the same. The dispute escalated among the students, bandobast staff and the college management, however, police further convinced the candidates and sent them in, as per the reports.
Meanwhile, in another instance, at St Mary’s High School center in Secunderabad, muslim women wearing burqas were not allowed to take the exam and they were asked to remove the same, if they have to appear for the exam.
