Telangana Government announces major IPS officers reshuffle
Hyderabad: The Telangana state government has issued a major reshuffle of IPS officers on Friday, March 7, 2025.
Dr. Anil Kumar, IPS (1996), Director General of the Telangana Special Protection Force, Hyderabad, has been transferred and appointed as the Additional Director General of Police (Personnel) at the Office of the Director General of Police, Telangana, Hyderabad. He will also hold full additional charge as Director General of the Telangana Special Protection Force, Hyderabad, until further orders, relieving Mahesh M. Bhagwat, IPS (1995), from the additional charge.
M. Srinivasulu, IPS (2006), Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam, has been transferred and posted as the Inspector General of Police, CID, in the existing vacancy.
Ambar Kishor Jha, IPS (2009), Commissioner of Police, Warangal, is transferred and appointed as the Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam, replacing M. Srinivasulu, IPS (2006).
Sunpreet Singh, IPS (2011), promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Warangal, succeeding Ambar Kishor Jha, IPS (2009).
Chetna Mylabhutala, IPS (2013), Deputy Commissioner of Police, Peddapali, Ramagundam Commissionerate, is transferred and appointed as Superintendent of Police, Women Safety Wing, Telangana, Hyderabad.
Ch. Sindhu Sarma, IPS (2014), Superintendent of Police, Kamareddy, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Intelligence, in the existing vacancy.
M. Rajesh Chandra, IPS (2015), Deputy Commissioner of Police, Yadadri Bhongir, Rachakonda, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Kamareddy, replacing Ch. Sindhu Sarma, IPS (2014).
Potharaju Sai Chaitanya, IPS (2016), Superintendent of Police, Telangana Anti-Narcotic Bureau, Hyderabad, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Nizamabad, relieving Ch. Sindhu Sarma, IPS (2014), from the additional charge.
Gaush Alam, IPS (2017), Superintendent of Police, Adilabad, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Karimnagar, replacing Abhishek Mohanty, IPS (2011), who has been relieved from Telangana cadre.
Akhil Mahajan, IPS (2017), Superintendent of Police, Rajanna Sircilla, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Adilabad, replacing Gaush Alam, IPS (2017).
Chennuri Rupesh, IPS (2017), Superintendent of Police, Sangareddy, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Telangana Anti-Narcotic Bureau, Hyderabad, succeeding Potharaju Sai Chaitanya, IPS (2016).
Akshansh Yadav, IPS (2019), Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, Hyderabad City, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Yadadri Bhongir, Rachakonda, replacing M. Rajesh Chandra, IPS (2015).
