Telangana Unemployed JAC demands immediate implementation of GO 49
HYDERABAD: Unemployed JAC Chairman and Telangana B.Ed. Candidates’ Association leader Bhukya Kumar demanded the immediate implementation of Government Order No. 49, which mandates 75 percent job reservation for indigenous communities in Agency areas. During a press conference at Osmania University Arts College, he alleged that the recruitment notification for police department posts failed to allocate the stipulated 75 percent of vacancies to Agency area residents.
Speaking to the media, Bhukya Kumar said that the government is not following the reservation rules. He explained that in 2018, the first order for 75 percent reservation, GO No. 109, was changed to GO No. 49. He said the Congress government is ignoring this order and treating tribal youth unfairly. He warned the government to put GO No. 49 into effect right away.
Tribal job reservation
Bhukya Kumar also criticized tribal leaders, such as 12 MLAs, two MPs, and one MLC from the Congress party in Telangana. He said they have been silent and have done nothing about the reservation issue. He asked if they had lost their voices and reminded them that they won their positions by getting tribal votes and with the help of reservation policies.
He urged these leaders to speak up for tribal youth and the jobs they deserve. He said if the order is not put in place soon, all tribal people would come together to protest at their offices and stand up to government officials and MLAs. He also warned that no politician, from any party, would be allowed to move freely in Agency areas.

Bhukya Kumar also pointed out that the new police job notification at Osmania University Arts College did not give 75 percent of the jobs to Agency area residents, as GOs 109 and 49 require. He said the government was trying to hide this problem. He reminded everyone that tribal people helped the Congress win, and said they would not accept losing their rights.
The Unemployed JAC group demanded quick action to protect the rights of tribal youth who want government jobs. They warned that if their demands are not met, officials will not be allowed to enter Agency areas.
