Telangana offers free pilot training for girls

HYDERABAD: IndiGoReach, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of IndiGo, and Telangana’s Intermediate Education department signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to provide pilot training to girls who have completed Intermediate education in the state.
Intermediate Education director Abhilasha Abhinav and BharatCares Trust representative C Sai exchanged the agreement documents.
Programme includes commercial pilot licence and ATR training
The pilot training will be provided under the “Giving Wings to Fly” programme, implemented by IndiGoReach in association with BharatCares.
During the training period of about 20 months, selected candidates will receive training for a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and ATR type rating. The programme will also provide accommodation, meals and medical insurance.
The official programme information confirms that “Giving Wings to Fly” covers CPL and ATR type-rating training, accommodation, meals and medical insurance.
