The Telangana government is developing a dedicated website, “Films in Telangana,” to provide all film-related permissions through a single window. The portal will cover approvals for film shootings, theatre operations, and permissions required for film industry development.

A workshop on the initiative was held on Monday at Tourism Plaza, Begumpet, with officials from various departments and film industry representatives. Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC) chairman Dil Raju, FDC managing director CH Priyanka, and Tourism Corporation MD Valluru Kranti attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Dil Raju said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was extending full support to the film industry. “National and international producers can come with just a script, and the portal will provide complete information — from shooting locations to permissions, technical departments, technicians, and hotel availability in Hyderabad and other cities,” he said.

Raju added that Telangana was the first state to introduce such a facility. The government was also moving the theatre B-form licence approval process online. Currently, police commissioners in cities and additional collectors in districts issue these permits. Discussions are under way with the state home department to streamline all theatre-related approvals online.
