Telangana excise dept seizes 11kg ganja in two cases; three women arrested

HYDERABAD:Â The Telangana excise department on November 19 arrested three women and booked seven persons after seizing a total of 11kg of ganja in two separate cases.
10kg ganja recovered near Warangal railway station
In the first case, a special task force team led by circle inspector Nagaraju found an abandoned plastic bag containing 10kg ganja near Warangal railway station. Officials said no person was found in the vicinity during the search.
The seized contraband was handed over to the Kali Warangal excise station for further action.
1.262kg ganja seized in Fateh Nagar; three held
In a separate operation, excise personnel seized 1.262kg ganja from the Fateh Nagar area in Begumpet. Officers said seven persons were booked and three women were arrested.
The arrested accused were identified as Sheik Jaitan Bi, Shakti Nani Mela, and Shakti Parasi Suguna.
Apart from the contraband, officials also seized ₹7,690 in cash from the accused.
Four accused on the run
Those absconding include Shakti Sanjesh Kumar, Shakti Khus Bi, Kaliwala Vishal, and Satish.
The arrested women and the seized material were handed over to the Balanagar excise station
