TG-VEER portal to help Telangana police martyrs’ families track benefits and entitlements
HYDERABAD: Telangana DGP on Sunday interacted with the families of 28 police martyrs of the Warangal Commissionerate who died in the line of duty while fighting Naxalism.
During his district visit, the DGP launched TG-VEER, a grievance portal that will provide the families a single platform to track benefits, service records and pending entitlements.
The portal will also provide QR-enabled family cards for quick access to relevant information.
DGP assures families of prompt action on grievances
The DGP directed officials to consolidate the grievances raised by the families and ensure their prompt resolution. The issues include ex-gratia payments, pensions and other welfare benefits.
The DGP said his interaction with the families was a humbling experience. He recalled that he had begun his career in Warangal during the peak of the insurgency and said the peace prevailing today rests on the sacrifices of those who served before.
Under-construction CP office inspected during district visit
The DGP also inspected the under-construction Commissioner of Police (CP) office in Warangal.
He directed officials to make improvements to ensure better citizen access, greater efficiency and preparedness for surveillance requirements.
